On Thursday, December 11th, Tampa Bay CEO Magazine presented the 2008 Tampa Bay CEO Awards Gala at the TPepin’s Hospitality Centre. Nominees were recognized and winners announced at the black-tie event with a crowd of nearly 300 attendees. Awards were handed out in nine individual categories including; Advertising & Marketing, Technology, Business Services, Consumer Services, Real Estate, Financial Services, Non-Profit, Legal Services and Emerging CEO.
Rhea F. Law, CEO & Chair of the Board for Fowler White Boggs P.A. was named overall winner for 2008 Tampa Bay CEO of The Year. Criteria for the award included community involvement, leadership initiatives, corporate vision and market performance.
"There are so many outstanding CEOs in the Tampa Bay region, and our goal with this award was to recognize their work and accomplishments from both a business and community perspective," said David C. Glass, CEO & Publisher, Tampa Bay CEO Magazine. "Rhea is doing some amazing things in the business community, demonstrating a level of vision and leadership that sets her apart from her contemporaries. She truly personifies everything we were looking for in our CEO of the Year."
